SFX girls softball division chart for the Spring and Fall seasons, listing Rookies, Mustang, Bronco and Colt with age ranges as of December 31, locations, coordinator, game days, start and end dates, equipment and rules

Rookie Division (Ages 5-8)

The Rookie division is a girls softball clinic division, intended as an introduction to the game. No experience is necessary. The game will be played according to modified rules intended to help girls learn the game. Each game plus a pre-game practice will last 2 hours.

Girls in the Rookie division must provide and wear black softball pants. A shirt, cap/visor and all equipment will be provided.

Mustang Division (Ages 9-10)

Mustang division games are held in Prospect Park and neighboring fields, on a field with a 50-foot base-path and pitching distance of 28 feet.

Girls in the Mustang division must provide and wear black softball pants. Each game lasts approximately 2 hours.  All teams will have practice once per week at a time and place chosen by the head coach.  A shirt, cap/visor and all equipment will be provided.

Bronco Division (Ages 11-12)

Bronco division games are held in Prospect Park and neighboring fields, on a field with a 60-foot base-path and pitching distance of 35 feet.  Each game lasts approximately 2 hours.  All teams will have practice once per week at a time and place chosen by the head coach.

Girls in the Bronco division must provide and wear black softball pants. A shirt, cap/visor and all equipment will be provided.

Colt Division (Ages 13-15)

Colt division games are held in Prospect Park and neighboring fields, on a field with a 60-foot base-path and pitching distance of 40 feet.  Each game lasts approximately 2 hours.  All teams will have practice once per week at a time and place chosen by the head coach.

Girls in the Colt division must provide and wear black softball pants. A shirt, cap/visor and all equipment will be provided.

Equipment –  Baseball/Tee-Ball

All baseball and Tee-Ball players must provide their own glove, helmet (except the Tee-Ball, Peewee and Pony Baseball Divisions where helmets will be provided) , and grey baseball pants. SFXYS will provide the team jersey, cap and all team equipment.

All softball players must provide their own glove, helmet (except the Rookies Division where helmets will be provided) and black softball pants. SFXYS will provide the team jersey, cap and all team equipment.
